LabScores® relational databases can contain almost any data you need to store in your biotech company and spans CRM-HRM-LIMS-GMP (see below) functionalities all into one seamless application. Relational databases means that data is entered once and becomes available across all databases, preventing duplication of information storage at all levels of your company and maximizing access from many different angle.

    LabScores is based on FileMaker® Pro software (v9), one of the worlds most reliable database platforms available and makes custom software within reach, even for small companies. LabsScores relational databases are now made available in modules that fit your requirements at any stage of your company. LabScores databases run on Mac and PC and can be accessed by up to 250 client computers at the same time.

With the release of version 4, two important new features have been included; a complete separation of flat data and all logic and user interfaces into different files plus the inclusion of SuperContainer® from 360Works Inc. This allows an unlimited document control system with automatic folder structures generated on your server computer, without bloating the database with gigabytes of files. Starter packages are available at a special price as runtime applications (does not yet require FileMaker Pro software for gathering marketing information when you are writing your business plan. This allows you to get used to the basic features of working with relational databases even before your lab is opened.

The starter package only contains the company database as described in the Business Suite, but without personal contacts. The decision how to store information already starts when you are writing your business plan and you want to store marketing intelligence on your competitors, potential financers, technology suppliers etc etc...    Making the right decision at an early stage, choosing a database that can grow with your company and stores all sorts of laboratory data at a cost-effective way, is a decision you will benefit from for many years.

LabScores Modules carry your housestyle, logo and corporate colors across all databases. When you purchase the full suite, you will get admin access to all design levels in the CustomSuite and complete documentation to maintain and expand your databases.  See the Suite descriptions for more detailed information.

Customized Design is available for any requirements that are not covered by the current suite of over 60 databases. After detailed consultation to identify your needs, you will be presented a quotation on which you can base your decision to expand. When necessary, subcontractors will be involved to build round the clock on your application. The customized part comes completely unlocked for local administrators, so you are free to add anything you like.

Price  LabScores comes as a bundled software license with FileMaker™ Pro software. Licenses are available per employee using LabScores or per installed PC, whichever number is lowest. Alternatively, you can enroll in an Annual Software Bundle Agreement, which ensures free upgrades for both LabScores, FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Server and keeps you within budget every year.

FileMaker Pro v9...   important for you ?

With the release of FileMaker Pro v9 (July 2007), any previous investments in data handling is respected when you transfer to LabScores. It gets even better with FMP v9 as this includes a much enhanced integration of SQL or Oracle-based databases. You will see that you will start using FileMaker Pro to maintain all your current databases, reducing your maintenance and design costs substantially. Also the enhanced integration of PHP in FMP v9 allows you a very reliable back-office for your webshop.
